The Cornet Obolensky son Ocala ZG, who was purchased at the Limburg Foal Auction three years ago, is approved for the KWPN studbook with a total of 80 points. The stallion owned by Stal Hendrix and Peter Francken made a good impression in the performance test and is very promising for both sport and breeding. The stallion, bred by the Zegers family, comes from a high-performance family.
In the stallion performance test, Ocala ZG (birth name Corvette ZG Z) made a good impression with his uncomplicated character, great rideability and balanced canter. He earned high marks for his good technique, scope and overview. For its rideability, Ocala received Z.G. a 9 next to 8’s for canter, technique, scope, attitude and ability as a showjumper.
Performance genes
The stallion was bred by the Zegers family from Reek and represents a successful damline. His dam Elanoir ZG previously produced the international 1.40m showjumpers Intouchable ZG (s.Modesto) and Michel Hendrix’s Jive ZG (s.Zinedine) and granddam Wodka Lime ZG foaled already the international 1.60m showjumper Fer ZG (s.Nabab de Rêve) and the 1.40/1.45m level competing Infinety ZG (s.I’m Special de Muze) and Cadiz ZG (s.Vancouver). This damline continues with the international 1.45m level performing mare Presley (s.Libero H). Therefore, Ocala ZG has great origins. With the international sport and breeding stallion Cornet Obolensky, Diamant de Semilly, Cantos and Libero H his pedigree is drenched with performance genes.
