With today already the fourth leg of the Stal Hendrix competition, on the beautiful grass arena in Meerlo, the provisional standings have been announced. With one leg to go, today’s winner of the four-year-olds, Agalandro Keizersberg Z (s.Aganix du Seigneur) under Joel Siersema, is in the lead in his age class. In the five-year-olds, Nelson (s.Highway TN) performed the best under Renee de Weert and Mighty Ferry (s.Zerlin) took the victory with Johan Bergs in the six-year-olds.
Jury members Piet Raijmakers Sr. and Wiel Heber gave an 9.1 for the outstanding jumping qualities of the Aganix du Seigneur son Agalandro Keizersberg Z (breeder Stal Keizersberg), ridden by Joel Siersema. The fact that he also received an 8.7 for going its rideability made him the winner today in Meerlo. With a second place in Kessel and fourth place in Sevenum, the top talent is now in the lead in the provisional standing. The most competition was provided by the Cornet Obolensky mare Candy’s Coco (breeder Freddi Davide, 8.8/8.7), who finished second under Johan Bergs. This mare from Stal Brouwershof is in third place in the standings, just behind the talented Jacodello mare Olivia HX from Stal Hendrix under Ivo Steeghs, who finished in the top ten for the third time in a row in this competition. Today Vagablond Z (s.Vagabond de la Pomme, breeder M. Vestjens) finished third, who also made an impression under Linda Järn and scored two times an 8.7.
In charge
With three victories in a row, N’Abalia SMH (s.Edinburgh, breeder Minne Hovenga) of Stal Brouwershof is proudly leading the provisional standing of the five-year-olds. Kristian Houwen was not lucky today with this elite mare, but can head towards Reuver with enough confidence. Renee de Weert once again performed well with the Highway M TN son Nelson (breeder, the Kuipers family) and she crossed the finish line in the best time without any penalties. They are placed second in the standings. With his other promising mount, Nils SMH (s.Aganix du Seigneur, breeders Minne Hovenga and Ruud van Nobelen), Kristian Houwen made a good attempt and was rewarded today with a second place. Johan Bergs followed with Lourdes (s.Catch) and Surprise-K van Kattenheye (s.Untouchable) in third and fourth place. The same rider took the victory in the six-year-olds class with Mighty Ferry (s.Zerlin, breeder Jos Althuysen), and made sure that he had a successful day in Meerlo. Yves Willems and Touluska Key (s.Toulon, breeder Keystud) were clear but more than three seconds slower. They ended up on the second place but are still proudly in the lead in the standings. Today Pieter Keunen finished third with the Casago offspring Matteo T (breeder A. Timmermans). The competition continues on Wednesday the 21st of June in Reuver, followed by the final a month later at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre.
