KWPN keur predicate for Cape Coral RBF Z

30 January 2025

At the KWPN Stallion Show, Cape Coral RBF Z received well-deserved recognition for his breeding achievements. This stallion, approved by KWPN last year, has made an impressive start in breeding and was honored with the keur predicate tonight in Den Bosch.

The son of Cornet Obolensky was bred by Marcel and Maryelle Coenen, and he is making a significant impact on breeding. His eldest offspring have alreadybeen performing at 1.45m level at just eight years old, including La Luna Especiale, Laguna HX, Lugano, Limited Edition HX, Liana DXB, and Constantin Z. From his first crop, Cape Coral RBF Z produced no fewer than six daughters selected for the National Mare Championship (NMK), and his progeny are also standing out in ability tests and young horse competitions. Additionally, he has already sired two KWPN-approved sons: the outstanding competitor No Mercy, who finished third in tonight’s stallion competition at 1.30/1.35m-level, and the premium awarded stallion Opus One JDV.

Both his breeders and Paul Hendrix were included in the tribute. With this achievement, Cape Coral RBF Z joins Bustique as the second keur stallion of HX Stallions. Paul: “It’s great to see Cape Coral RBF Z receiving recognition from a prestigious studbook like the KWPN. He has consistently ranked high in breeding values, and I dare say he is developing into one of the best sons of Cornet Obolensky in breeding. Cape Coral’s offspring possess great scope, are easy to ride, and jump with excellent technique. They’ve found their way into the stables of top riders, so we can expect a lot from them in the coming years.”
