25 February 2025
Sporting achievements happen almost every weekend, but Oda Charlotte Lyngvaer’s performances last weekend deserve special recognition. At the CSI5* in Gothenburg, she made a strong impression with Carabella vd Neyen Z in both the Gothenburg Trophy and the World Cup. Additionally, other Stal Hendrix riders delivered excellent results at the regional championships.
Oda competed at the five-star event with Carabella vd Neyen Z (s.Carrera VDL), Kina V (s.Don Diablo HX), and the stallion Farzack des Abbayes (s.Montender), delivering very good performances. On Saturday evening, she secured a fifth-place finish in the 1.55m-level Gothenburg Trophy with Carabella, before topping that result the next day with a fantastic fourth-place finish in their World Cup debut (1.60m)! They were clear in both classes. Oda also placed with Kina V after a clear round in the 1.45m speed class, while Farzack des Abbayes delivered a strong round at the same level on the final day.
Regional successes
Closer to home, Pieter Keunen and Yves Willems stood out at the Limburg Championships in Panningen. Pieter claimed the 1.30m-class title with Stitch de Muze HX (s.Mosito van het Hellehof x) and secured another regional title in the 1.35m-class with Mr.Coconut (s.Gaspahr). There were silver medals for Yves Willems with Lucifer JDV (s.Cape Coral RBF Z) in the 1.35m championship and Pietro Lazzaro with Lexus (s.Dakar VDL x) in the 1.40m championship. Yves Willems further solidified his success by winning the 1.40m championship title with his own Highway (s.Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve). Well done!
