Bustique, an established progenitor of Grand Prix showjumpers
Due to his first-class breeding results, Bustique is already placed high at the WBFSH Sire ranking. Out of his first breeding years, more than 70 descendants are competing in international classes. Including no one less than the outstanding Grand Prix and World Cup winner Beauville Z (ds.Jumpy des Fontaines), with whom Maikel van der Vleuten made history by winning the individual bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In 2022, they have been able to add team silver and individual bronze at the WEG in Herning to their impressive track record. Beauville’s ongoing performances in 2023 lead to the title ‘GCL Horse of the Year’.
Other remarkable offspring of Bustique are Florida Balia NL, Bonita vh Keizershof Z, Hendrick’s HX, Berdien, Jeffrey Jarden and Fabalia. Time and time again, Bustique proves to breed excellent showjumpers with a winning mentality. Paul Hendrix: “As we say here in Holland: good wine needs no bush. Bustique produces top showjumpers, he follows in the footsteps of his sire Indoctro and is one of the best KWPN breeding stallions now. More than twenty offspring are competing in 1.50/1.60m classes and more than 50 offspring on international 1.35m till 1.45m level.”
Bustique was placed in international 1.45/1.50m classes with Michel Hendrix. After staying in the United States of America for a couple of years he has returned to Stal Hendrix in 2019. The first offspring after his comeback turn four this year. Top progenitor Bustique is a sibling to the Grand Prix showjumpers Mustique and Noor, and represents a solid performance family.
