Dinello, impressive future star from Holstein

One of the highlights at the Holstein stallion approvals was Dinello, who was awarded as premium stallion due to his good performance and outstanding origins. He immediately draw the attention of Paul Hendrix. “Dinello is a stallion with an impressive appearance. He really sticks in your mind because of his type, personality and way of jumping. We are therefore very pleased to have been able to bring him to the Netherlands. Dinello’s first jumps at home are very promising as well.”

The stallion bred by Ute Witt has an excellent pedigree and he comes from the same dam as the 1.60m Grand Prix horse Quadros 3 (s.Quidam de Revel), with whom Marco Kutscher was successful in Grand Prix and the Global Champions Tour competitions. The oldest offspring of this Holstein approved stallion are already successful at the highest level, including Tiffany Foster’s top performer Hamilton. Another half-brother of Dinello is the 1.45/1.50m level competing Cees 5 (s.Cesano II) of Philip Koch. Dinello represents Holstein damline 741 and is closely related to top sire Cardento. Under Peter Eriksson this grey contributed to the silver medals for Sweden at the Olympic Games, World Equestrian Games and the European Championship. In breeding, this Capitol I son has made his mark as the sire of outliers such as Catch Me Not S, H&M Cue Channa, Kilkenny, Fiber Fresh Popeye and Grand Slam VDL. Dinello’s granddam Lady Estelle is a half-sister of Cardento and therefore also of the Olympic stallion VDL Cartello (s.Cartani) ridden by Darragh Kenny.

With his premium status, Dinello follows in the footsteps of sire Dinken and grandsire Diarado (Siegerhengst). The Holsteiner Verbandshengst Dinken made an astonishing impression in the young horse competitions, but an injury prevented him from a further sports career. As a breeding stallion he builds up a strong reputation and with this Dinello he presents an extraordinary future star.
